Neglect
Aim:
To enable practitioners to better understand the impact of neglect on children.
Learning outcomes:
By the end of the course participants will:
- Have an awareness of various types of neglect and its implications for child development
- Be aware of the definition of neglect and understand the thresholds for intervention
- Understand how to accurately assess good enough parenting.
- Have knowledge of what works in relation to achieving the best outcomes in situations of neglectful parenting
- Be aware of findings from Serious Case Reviews both locally and nationally.
