Managing Allegations Against People Who Work With Children

Aim:

To enable managers to understand the procedures to be followed when there is an allegation against a person who works with children.

Learning Outcomes:

By the end of the course participants will:

• Have been introduced to the Allegations against persons who work with children protocol
• Have received information about the role of the Local Authority Designated Officer in Kirklees
• Have received information about the different roles and responsibilities in dealing with these allegations
• Have considered the issue of thresholds and referrals
• Have consider how allegations may impact on them as a manager and on their colleagues
