Working Together to Safeguard Children
Aim:
To give participants an opportunity to review their understanding of the nature and impact of child abuse and neglect. This course also aims to give participants a comprehensive overview of roles and responsibilities within the safeguarding procedures to enable them to deliver effective multi-agency work.
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the course the participants will:
- Understand what safeguarding is and why they need to work together
- Understand the statutory context
- Have knowledge of good practice issues
- Understand when and how to use KSCB procedures
- Understand what makes an effective referral
- Understand what happens following a referral
