Kirklees & Wakefield Learning & Development Team's have joined together to deliver this training. this training is available to both authorities
Aim:
To enable staff from statutory and voluntary agencies to understand the impact of parental mental illness on the child
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the course participants will:
- Have an understanding of mental illness and understand the potential impact on parenting ability
- Have an understanding of mental health and children's social care structures
- Have an understanding of the impact of parental mental health on children of different ages
- Have a greater understanding of how different agencies can work together with families where parents have mental illness
- Have understood the relevance of KSCB procedures
