West Yorkshire Safeguarding Week 2018 Press Release

Kirklees Safeguarding Week message from Sheila Lock

25th June marks the beginning of Kirklees Safeguarding Week which is returning for the third time as part of the wider West Yorkshire Safeguarding Week.

During the week a variety of events, briefings and activities will take place to promote and increase awareness of safeguarding.

We all play a role in keeping people safe and it’s vitally important to have a week of concentrated activity to bring people together, learn, share good practice and highlight the importance of safeguarding across the board.

I want to thank the Kirklees Safeguarding Adults Board and the Communities Board for their continued work with us to support Kirklees Safeguarding Week, along with all the safeguarding boards and organisations across West Yorkshire who help to make this a success across the region.

We will continue to work together with our partners for the good of children, young people and adults and would encourage everyone to explore the Kirklees Safeguarding Week programme, book on the events and share wider.

Thank you for your support,

Sheila Lock
