E-Safety Awareness
PLEASE NOTE: Successful completion of the course will allow participants to access CEOP (Child Exploitation On-Line Protection) materials for use with children and young people. It is a REQUIREMENT of the course that all participants produce their current CRB certificate. Participants MUST bring the original certificate to the course and this will be checked by the course facilitators.
Aim:
This course aims to further develop participants' understanding of safeguarding issues in relation to new technology
Learning Outcomes:
By the end of the course participants will:
- Have increased awareness of the opportunities and risks of the digital world
- Understand the role of CEOP (Child Exploitation On-Line Protection)
- Understand the need for developing agency initiatives on e safety
- Have considered the need to review own service e-safety policy and service design
- Have increased awareness of e safety issues and to consider how to incorporate these into training programmes.
- Be aware of how to respond to e-safety incidents
- Know where to obtain publications and resources (including practical materials that can be used with children and young people)
